How to Use the BetTracker CSV Converter

How-To28 February 2026

If you have betting history in a spreadsheet or exported from another app, you can import it into BetTracker using our CSV converter. The converter works with almost any CSV layout: it maps your columns to BetTracker fields, supports decimal, American, and fractional odds in the same file, and recognizes many date formats. It then creates a BetTracker-ready CSV that you can import directly. To get started, go to Bets → Import → Open CSV Converter.

Where to Find the Converter

The CSV converter is built into BetTracker. Go to your Bets page, click Import, then Open CSV Converter. It will help you create a BetTracker-ready CSV that you can import directly in the Import modal

Step 1: Upload Your CSV

Choose your CSV file (header + at least 1 row required). Column names don’t matter, you’ll map your CSV columns to BetTracker fields. Just make sure it includes Event (e.g., United vs Liverpool), Sport (e.g., Football), Selection/Bet (e.g., Over 1.5 Goals), Bet Amount/Stake (e.g., 50), Odds (e.g., 3.5, 7/2, or +250), Bookie (e.g., Bet365), and Event Date (e.g., 28/02/2026 or 2026-02-28 15:00).

Step 2: Map Your Columns

The converter displays each BetTracker field and lets you select which CSV column corresponds to it. Required fields are Event Name, Selection, Sport, Bookmaker, Bet Amount, Total Odds, and Event Date. Optional fields include Status, Bet Type, Bet Direction, Placed At, Notes, Tipper, League, Market, Closing Line and more.
For each field, choose the corresponding CSV column from the dropdown. If your CSV does not have a column for a field (for example Bet Type), select Skip—BetTracker will use default values: single for bet type, back for bet direction, and not_settled for status.
Status is important because it tells BetTracker whether a bet is settled, won, lost, or void. The converter has a dedicated status mapper so you can map the actual values in your CSV (for example "W" or "Won") to BetTracker's internal status values.

Step 3: Convert and Import

When mapping is done, click Convert. The converter validates each row and reports any errors—for example, invalid odds, missing required fields, or unparseable dates. Fix those rows in your source file if needed, or adjust the mapping. On success, a BetTracker-ready CSV is downloaded. Then go to the Bets page, click Import, and upload that file to bring your bets into BetTracker.

Additional Notes

Mapping Status, Bet Type, and Bet Direction

If your CSV uses different terms than BetTracker (e.g., "Won" instead of "win" or "Parlay" instead of "accumulator"), use the Map button next to those fields. A modal will open where you select a value from your CSV on the left and the matching BetTracker value on the right. Unmapped values fall back to auto-detect or the default.

Supported Odds Formats

The converter accepts mixed formats in the same file. Total Odds and Closing Line support decimal (2.50, 1.95), European comma decimals (2,50), American moneyline (+150, -200), and fractional (3/2, 5/1). American odds are detected when the value has a plus or minus sign. Plain numbers like 2 or 150 are treated as decimal. All odds are converted to decimal for storage in BetTracker.

Supported Date Formats

Event Date and Placed At accept many formats: ISO (2026-01-26 10:00), European (26/01/2026), American (01/26/2026), and variants with or without time. The converter normalizes them to a standard format for BetTracker.

Import Assistance

If you prefer not to handle the conversion yourself or encounter difficulties with your file, you can send it to us and we will import your bets for you.
